AESTHETIC – KOREAN PDO THREAD LIFT

About Korean PDO Thread Lifting

This is a revolutionary technique popularised by Korean plastic surgeons. The threads are made of soluble PDO (Polydioxanone) which is a material that has been used in surgery for many years, mainly in surgery. In contrary to other threads, PDO threads achieve lifting by a special thread weave and stimulation of new collagen in the skin.

Areas that can be treated include:

Face
Threading can be used to combat forehead lines, can be used to lift eye brows and cheeks, to smooth under-eye areas and nasolabial folds, to alter the appearance of the nose and slim the jawline.
Nose
Threading is used to straighten and elevate the nasal bridge, to lift the tip of the nose and subsequently narrow the width of the nose. When treated together with dermal fillers the results can be further improved yet still remain natural looking.
Neck
It can soften lines, slim the muscle to decrease the look of ‘Linebacker Neck’ and slim the arms and improve the appearance of ‘bat wings’.

How is the procedure performed?

After cleansing and sterilisation of the face, anesthetic in the form of cream or direct injection can be given to reduce discomfort sensation. The doctor will choose the most appropriate type of threads and place it accordingly at various part of your face. The number of threads required for optimal results depend greatly from one individual to the other. The optimal number of threads will be advised by our doctors after consultation.
The procedure takes about 30 – 60 minutes.

How long do the results last?

The threads will remain in the skin for 6 months. collagen stimulation and lifting will persist even after they are being fully absorbed. With proper care,  the lifting effect will still last for another year or more, giving a total effect of approximately 1.5 years.

Are there any side effects?

This is generally a safe clinic procedure with no serious side effects other than some bruises and minimal bleeding over the thread insertion sites. For more information, please kindly consult our doctors.
