Any preparation for treatment

You may need to stop using Retin-A, retinol, Vitamin A creams, or other topical treatments a few days before the procedure as these products may increase the sensitivity of your skin.

Dual-Wave Radiofrequency Microneedling

Sylfirm X has dual-wave technology (continuous and pulse waves) in 8 different modes to treat multiple skin conditions effectively while restoring skin health.

It uses multiple tiny electrodes to send a uniform electromagnetic field of energy that safely penetrates the dermal layer at targeted depth. It is able to target abnormal blood vessels in the dermis which contribute to rosacea and melasma. You can imagine the technology as a magnet for abnormal blood vessels, putting all the redness and discolouration together, and then zapping it out, but leaving the normal blood vessels untouched and intact.

This treatment not only stabilises the epidermis, but also reforms the structure of vessels in the dermis, thus accelerating the regeneration of skin tissue. This helps to reduce fine wrinkles, brighten skin tone, tighten pores, reduce active acne, and rejuvenate the skin as a whole.

How many sessions do I require?

Our doctors will assess your skin condition first to determine if Sylfirm X is suitable for your desired outcome.
If you are suitable, they will advise a course of 3-6 sessions, usually 2-4 weeks apart.

How does it work?

The Continous Wave (CW) Mode is used for skin remodeling and tightening. A single long pulse is delivered into the dermis on each penetration to achieve:

Scalp lifting and hair regrowth
Facial tightening and lifting
Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
Reduction of active acne and treat acne scars
Skin glow and smoothening
Pore reduction on nose and cheeks
Lifting of double chin

The Pulsed Wave (PW) Mode uses multiple short pulses to treat targeted abnormal blood vessels located in the upper dermis and basal layer of skin. It is used to achieve:

Melasma
Rosacea
PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)

By combining both continuous and pulse wave modes, Sylfirm X allows customisation of treatment across different skin types, skin conditions, and skin problems for treatment of multiple skin conditions.

Is the treatment suitable for tanned skin types?

As Sylfirm X targets the dermis and minimises thermo stimulation on the epidermis, it is suitable for all skin types and skin tones. Nevertheless, do allow our doctor to assess your skin condition first before any recommendation.

What can I expect during the procedure?

The procedure will take around 1 hour to complete including numbing time. Redness and swelling are normal reactions during and immediately after the procedure. Most patients are able to continue with their daily lives and resume regular activities with sun protection.
