What is Tranexamic Acid?

How Is Tranexamic Acid Administered?
Depending on the doctor’s recommendation and what suits your skin, TXA may be given in different ways:
- Topical Creams or Serums
Applied directly on the skin and may be combined with other brightening ingredients.
- Oral Medication
Low-dose tablets taken under medical supervision.
- Intradermal
Small amounts of TXA are delivered into the superficial layers of the skin via microinjections by hand or the injector gun to target pigmentation more directly. Our doctors may also combine TXA with treatments such as lasers or skin boosters, depending on the patient’s skin condition.
What Is the Downtime?
- Topical TXA: Generally, no downtime.
- Oral TXA: No downtime, but requires monitoring and medical approval.
- Microinjections: Mild redness or tiny bumps may occur for 1–2 days.
