Calecim Hair Treatment for thinning hair and shedding.

The Calecim Advanced Hair System delivers PTT-6, a proprietary cell-messaging complex, to mapped areas of the scalp, in a programme planned by a doctor around follicles that are still viable.

What is Calecim Hair Treatment?

Cell-messaging care for thinning hair, in clinic and at home.

Calecim Hair Treatment uses the Calecim Advanced Hair System, which contains PTT-6, a proprietary cell-messaging complex. In clinic, the topical scalp formulation may be paired with controlled superficial channel formation, according to the doctor's protocol, then supported by a home-care plan.

The aim is to support the scalp and underactive but viable follicles. The treatment does not replace investigation of medical hair loss, so the doctor reviews the likely cause first.

The branded programme is a six-week system and is course-based: clinic sessions and home care follow a defined schedule, with review.

  • PTT-6 — Calecim's proprietary signalling complex
  • Topical delivery — applied directly to selected scalp areas
  • Six-week system — the branded programme is course-based
  • Diagnosis first — not every cause of loss is suitable

How it works

How does Calecim Hair Treatment work?

The professional formulation is applied across mapped areas of thinning. Where clinically appropriate, a dermastamp or other superficial needling method may create controlled channels that support topical distribution. The aim is to support the scalp and underactive but viable follicles, followed by a defined home-care plan.

Personalised assessment

Who is Calecim Hair Treatment for?

The programme may be considered for selected adults with thinning or increased shedding where viable follicles remain. The doctor reviews the distribution and duration of loss, scalp inflammation, pregnancy status, medicines, nutritional or hormonal factors, autoimmune disease and previous procedures. Active infection or uncontrolled scalp disease may need treatment first.

Pregnant, or have a scalp infection or uncontrolled scalp condition? Tell your doctor first.

Selected frontal, temporal, mid-scalp or crown regions with viable follicles.

  • Increased shedding

Considered after common medical triggers and scalp conditions have been reviewed.

  • Hair quality

Fine or weakened-looking hair, assessed alongside the underlying diagnosis.

Your treatment journey

Clinic delivery and home care work as one programme.

  1. Diagnose

Hair-loss history, scalp condition, medicines and likely triggers are reviewed.

  2. Prepare

The scalp is cleansed, parted and documented with baseline photographs.

  3. Apply

The formulation is delivered across mapped regions using the selected protocol.

  4. Maintain

Washing, home application and review timing are explained clearly.

Safety & expectations

The condition of the follicle determines the opportunity.

Temporary redness, warmth, tenderness, tightness, flaking or pinpoint crusting may occur when channel formation is used. Follow the instructions on washing, exercise, sun, hair products and at-home application, and seek review for persistent pain, swelling, discharge, spreading redness or an unexpected reaction.

Calecim Hair Treatment: frequently asked questions

What is Calecim Hair Treatment?

Calecim Hair Treatment is a doctor-led scalp programme using the Calecim Advanced Hair System, which contains PTT-6. The topical formulation is applied to mapped areas of thinning, where appropriate with superficial dermastamp channels, and is supported by home care. It aims to support the scalp and underactive but viable follicles.

What is PTT-6?

PTT-6 is Calecim's proprietary complex of cell-messaging proteins and related factors, used in its Advanced Hair System. In Calecim Hair Treatment, the formulation is applied topically to mapped areas of the scalp, aiming to support the scalp and underactive but viable follicles.

Is Calecim Hair Treatment injected?

No. The Calecim Advanced Hair System is a topical scalp formulation, not a conventional injected filler or medicine. A clinic protocol may use a superficial dermastamp or microneedling technique to support delivery, so ask your doctor whether your Calecim plan includes this step.

Which areas of the scalp can Calecim treat?

Depending on the diagnosis, Calecim Hair Treatment may involve the frontal hairline, temples, mid-scalp or crown. The serum is applied to mapped scalp regions rather than to the hair lengths.

Will Calecim work for advanced or scarring hair loss?

Not every condition is suitable for Calecim Hair Treatment. Response depends on the cause and whether viable follicles remain. Scarring alopecia and advanced loss may require different medical or surgical management.

Why might tests be recommended before Calecim Hair Treatment?

Diffuse or sudden shedding can be associated with nutritional, thyroid, hormonal, inflammatory, medication-related or other medical factors. Investigating these can change the treatment plan, including whether Calecim Hair Treatment is appropriate.

What aftercare is required after Calecim Hair Treatment?

Instructions depend on whether channel formation was used. You may be asked to delay washing or hair products, and to avoid sweating, sun exposure or scratching while the scalp settles. Follow the at-home application plan you are given.
