Monopolar RF skin tightening · Singapore

XERF™ skin tightening for firmer-looking skin.

A non-invasive radiofrequency treatment that heats several layers of the skin to support its natural collagen renewal, for mild laxity and softening contours.

What is XERF™?

Multifrequency radiofrequency, heat at several depths, with no needles.

XERF™ is a structural skin-tightening treatment. It uses multifrequency monopolar radiofrequency, combining 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, to deliver heat at multiple depths within the skin. That includes the SMAS layer, typically targeted in surgical facelifts. It is non-invasive, with no needles or surgical incisions, and downtime is minimal.

XERF™ is designed to support firmer-looking skin and improve the appearance of mild skin laxity, by helping to stimulate the skin's natural collagen renewal process over time. Individual experiences may vary.

The SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) is the deeper supportive layer beneath the skin and fat. Treatment is personalised to your skin profile, with different depth settings and intensity levels available to support a customised treatment approach.

  • Two frequencies — 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, across different depths
  • Real-time feedback — impedance readings help tailor energy delivery
  • Built-in cooling — the skin surface is cooled during each pulse
  • No needles — no surgical incisions and minimal downtime

How it works

How does XERF™ work?

XERF™ delivers controlled radiofrequency energy into the skin to create heat at targeted depths. This heating supports collagen remodelling and gradual skin firming over time. It can reach shallow, middle and deeper layers, and settings are adjusted to your skin condition, the treatment area and your doctor's assessment.

Two frequencies, several depths

A multifrequency monopolar RF system combines two frequencies to deliver energy across shallow, middle and deeper layers of the skin. This makes it suitable for areas where early laxity, softening or reduced firmness may be observed, with treatment adjusted to your skin structure and treatment area.

From our doctors

Is XERF right for every patient?

Our doctor explains why skin laxity is only one part of facial ageing, and why volume loss or deeper tissue descent may need a different approach. That is why an assessment comes before any recommendation.

Who XERF may suit, and when another approach is discussed

Safety & expectations

Your doctor will advise what can reasonably be expected, based on your skin quality, age, degree of laxity and treatment plan.

XERF™ is non-invasive, but it may not suit everyone. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, or have a pacemaker or other implanted device, and about any medicines or recent treatments in the area.

XERF: frequently asked questions

Is XERF™ a surgical treatment?

No. XERF™ is a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment. It does not involve surgical incisions or needles. It also differs from Ultherapy and HIFU, which use focused ultrasound. XERF™ uses multifrequency monopolar radiofrequency to heat several layers of the skin, including the SMAS.

Which areas can XERF™ treat?

XERF™ may be considered for areas commonly affected by early skin laxity, including the face, cheeks, jawline, lower face, under the chin and neck. Treatment areas are confirmed during your consultation, based on individual assessment and your treatment goals.

Does XERF™ require numbing?

At our clinic, the treatment area is cleansed and numbed for 30 minutes before XERF™, as part of preparation. During treatment you may feel warmth as the energy is delivered, along with cooling from the device. Individual comfort levels vary, and your doctor will advise you during your consultation.

Is there downtime after XERF™, and what are the side effects?

Downtime after XERF™ is typically minimal, although individual responses vary, and many patients return to their normal daily activities afterwards. Some people have temporary redness, warmth or sensitivity. As with other energy-based treatments, burns, blistering, altered sensation or pigment change are uncommon but possible.

When can I see results from XERF™?

Some people notice their skin feels firmer after XERF™ treatment, while collagen-related improvements develop gradually over time. Results vary depending on skin condition, age, treatment area and individual response. Your doctor will advise what can reasonably be expected.

How many XERF™ sessions do I need?

The number of XERF™ sessions depends on your skin condition, treatment goals and your doctor's recommendation. This is discussed during your consultation, once your doctor has assessed your skin quality, degree of laxity and overall treatment plan.

Is XERF™ suitable for all skin types?

XERF™ is suitable for all skin types. Suitability should still be assessed by a doctor before treatment, taking into account your skin condition, medical history and any implanted devices, such as a pacemaker.

Can XERF™ be combined with other treatments?

XERF™ can be combined with other aesthetic treatments that address different aspects of ageing, such as collagen bio-stimulators, bio-remodelling treatments and skin boosters. When combined appropriately, these treatments can complement one another. Your doctor will assess your needs and recommend a personalised plan.
