RF microneedling · Singapore

Gold RF microneedling for pigment, redness and texture.

Gold-plated needles deliver radiofrequency energy evenly into the skin, with pulsed and continuous waves for melasma, rosacea, scars, fine lines and laxity.

What is Gold RF microneedling?

Radiofrequency through gold-plated needles for pigment, redness and texture.

Gold Microneedling RF is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling treatment. Gold-plated, non-insulated needles deliver energy evenly into the dermis, using pulsed and continuous waves to treat pigment, redness, scars and laxity with minimal downtime.

Its dual-wave technology offers continuous and pulsed waves across 8 different modes, so several skin conditions can be treated while restoring overall skin health.

Multiple tiny electrodes send a uniform electromagnetic field that penetrates the dermis at a targeted depth. There it can target the abnormal blood vessels that contribute to rosacea and melasma, like a magnet drawing the redness and discolouration together, while normal blood vessels stay untouched and intact.

  • Dual-wave — continuous and pulsed RF across 8 modes
  • All skin types — energy targets the dermis, minimising surface heating
  • 3–6 sessions — usually 2–4 weeks apart
  • Minimal downtime — most resume regular activities with sun protection

How it works

How does Gold Microneedling RF work?

Gold Microneedling RF carries radiofrequency energy through microneedles to a set depth in the dermis. Continuous-wave mode remodels and tightens, while pulsed-wave mode targets abnormal blood vessels that contribute to melasma and rosacea. Combining both lets your doctor tailor one treatment to several concerns.

Continuous wave (CW) mode

A single long pulse is delivered into the dermis on each penetration, for skin remodelling and tightening.

  • Facial tightening and lifting
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Active acne and acne scars
  • Skin glow and smoothness

Personalised assessment

What can Gold Microneedling RF treat?

Our doctors use it for pigment, redness, scarring and skin laxity, often within the same course. Your skin is assessed first to confirm the treatment suits the outcome you want.

Pregnant, on isotretinoin or have an implanted electrical device? Tell your doctor first.

  • Melasma and pigmentation

Pulsed-wave mode is used for melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), targeting abnormal blood vessels in the dermis that contribute to melasma.

  • Rosacea and redness

Energy concentrates on abnormal blood vessels while normal vessels are left intact.

  • Acne and acne scars

Continuous-wave mode helps reduce active acne and treat acne scars while stimulating collagen.

  • Pores, lines and laxity

Tightening for enlarged pores on the nose and cheeks, fine lines, skin laxity and a double chin.

Expect redness and swelling during and just after each session. Tell your doctor about any medicines, skin conditions or recent treatments, and protect your skin from the sun afterwards.

Gold Microneedling RF: frequently asked questions

What is RF microneedling?

RF (radiofrequency) microneedling combines fine needles with radiofrequency energy. The needles carry the energy into the dermis, where it remodels tissue and, in pulsed mode, targets abnormal blood vessels. Gold Microneedling RF uses gold-plated, non-insulated needles to spread that energy evenly.

Is Gold Microneedling RF suitable for tanned or darker skin?

Yes. Because it targets the dermis and minimises heat on the epidermis, it is suitable for all skin types and skin tones. Our doctor will still assess your skin condition first before making any recommendation.

How many Gold Microneedling RF sessions will I need?

Our doctors first assess whether Gold Microneedling RF suits your skin and goals. If you are suitable, they will usually advise a course of 3–6 sessions, 2–4 weeks apart; the exact number depends on your skin condition and the outcome you want.

Can Gold Microneedling RF help melasma and rosacea?

Pulsed-wave mode is used for melasma, rosacea and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). It targets abnormal blood vessels in the upper dermis that contribute to melasma and rosacea, while leaving normal vessels intact. Melasma can recur, so your doctor will also discuss sun protection and maintenance.

How do I prepare for Gold Microneedling RF?

You may need to stop Retin-A, retinol, vitamin A creams or other topical treatments a few days before Gold Microneedling RF, as these products may increase your skin's sensitivity. Your doctor will tell you what to pause and when.

What happens during Gold Microneedling RF, and is there downtime?

The procedure takes around 1 hour, including numbing time. Redness and swelling are expected during and immediately after treatment. Most patients are able to continue with their daily lives and resume regular activities, with sun protection.

How is RF microneedling different from ordinary microneedling?

Ordinary microneedling relies on the needles alone to create tiny channels in the skin. Gold Microneedling RF also delivers radiofrequency energy through the needles into the dermis, and its pulsed mode can target abnormal vessels linked to melasma and redness.
