Profhilo®: An Approach to Skin Hydration and Firmness

What is Profhilo®?
Profhilo is an injectable treatment made from pure hyaluronic acid (HA)—a substance naturally found in the body that attracts and holds moisture. Profhilo is formulated to spread evenly under the skin to improve hydration and encourage collagen and elastin production over time.
Unlike dermal fillers which are specific to targeted areas, Profhilo is not used to create volume or contouring instead, it treats the entirety of your face. It works to improve overall skin quality by stimulating the body’s own natural collagen and elastin production with slow release of HA, leaving the skin looking more refreshed, supple, and radiant.
How is Profhilo® administered?
Profhilo is injected using a technique called the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) method—this involves a series of five small injections on each side of the face. This technique is designed for even distribution of the product and minimal downtime.
- Treatment time: Around 45 minutes including numbing
- Comfort: Numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment
- Downtime: Minimal, with possible mild swelling or bruising at injection points that usually subside within a few days
How long do the results last?
Bio-remodelling and collagen building results of Profhilo can take up to 3 to 6 months to be evident. Generally, results last for about a year.
How many session will I need?
While hydrating effects of Profhilo can be seen after one session, generally for most patients, about 2 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. Patients with moderate saggy skin may require another 1 or 2 sessions in order to see a lifting effect. Thereafter, two maintenance sessions every 6 months is recommended.
