Type I collagen injectable · Singapore

HTIC collagen injections to support skin radiance.

A highly purified, sterile injectable rich in Heterologous Type I Collagen (HTIC), made for dermal bio-revitalisation: it stimulates your skin’s own regeneration and repair from within.

What is an HTIC collagen injection?

Type I collagen, placed where your skin makes its own.

An HTIC collagen injection places sterile, highly purified Heterologous Type I Collagen into the dermis. There it stimulates fibroblasts, the cells that produce new collagen, to promote natural regeneration and repair, helping to restore a smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking complexion from within.

Natural collagen production declines as we age. It shows as fine lines, wrinkles, reduced firmness and volume loss, and whether it comes from ageing, skin thinning, scarring or trauma, it can affect your skin’s texture and resilience.

Type I collagen is the most abundant collagen in the body, especially in the skin, tendons and bones. As levels drop, skin becomes thinner, fine lines appear and the complexion looks duller.

HTIC uses biologically active Type I collagen derived from atelocollagen, highly purified and processed to be biocompatible for use in human skin. ‘Heterologous’ means it comes from a non-human source. The method is minimally invasive and clinically proven.

It is commonly used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands, and can be adapted to other areas that need skin regeneration support.

  • Type I collagen — sterile, highly purified atelocollagen
  • Fibroblast support — stimulates the cells that make new collagen
  • Little downtime — most people resume daily activities straight away
  • Doctor-led — your skin is assessed before any course

How it works

How does an HTIC collagen injection work?

HTIC collagen is placed into the superficial to mid-dermal layer, where it stimulates fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing new collagen. This supports the skin’s own regeneration and repair, so firmness, elasticity and texture improve gradually over a course rather than as instant volume.

Personalised assessment

Who is HTIC collagen recommended for?

HTIC collagen is often recommended for people noticing early signs of skin ageing, skin laxity, or dull, dehydrated skin with uneven texture. Our doctors assess your skin and medical history first to confirm HTIC collagen suits the outcome you want.

Pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to collagen? Tell your doctor first.

  • Early signs of ageing

Fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness as natural collagen production declines.

  • Skin laxity

Skin that has lost firmness and elasticity, where stimulating new collagen can help.

  • Dull, dehydrated skin

Dull, dehydrated skin or uneven skin texture that needs regeneration support.

  • Neck, décolletage & hands

Thinner skin beyond the face: HTIC is commonly used on the neck, décolletage and hands as well as the face.

Your treatment journey

Skin assessment. Gentle microinjections. Planned follow-up.

  1. Consult

Our doctor assesses your skin, goals and medical history to decide whether HTIC collagen suits you, and whether to combine it with other treatments.

  2. Prepare

The treatment area is cleaned and numbed with a topical cream to keep you comfortable.

  3. Treat

HTIC collagen is placed into the superficial to mid-dermal layer using fine needles or a microinjection technique.

  4. Recover

Any redness or swelling tends to fade within a day. For at least 24–48 hours, keep the area out of intense sun and avoid strenuous exercise and other cosmetic treatments there. The next session follows 2–3 weeks later.

Safety & expectations

Suitability comes first: your doctor assesses your skin and medical history before recommending HTIC collagen.

Mild redness or swelling is normal and usually settles within a day. Tell your doctor about allergies, medicines, skin conditions and recent treatments, and avoid intense sun, strenuous exercise and cosmetic treatments on the area for 24–48 hours.

HTIC Collagen Injectable: frequently asked questions

What is HTIC collagen?

HTIC stands for Heterologous Type I Collagen, meaning Type I collagen from a non-human source. In HTIC collagen injections it is derived from atelocollagen, highly purified and processed to be biocompatible for use in human skin. Injected into the dermis, it stimulates fibroblasts, the cells that produce new collagen.

How many HTIC collagen injection sessions do I need?

A course of 3–4 HTIC collagen injection sessions at 2–3 week intervals is usually advised, depending on your skin condition and treatment goals. Your doctor confirms the plan for your course after assessing your skin.

When will I see HTIC collagen results, and how long do they last?

Because HTIC collagen works by stimulating your own collagen production, results build gradually over the course rather than appearing overnight. Results can last around 9 months, and maintenance sessions may be recommended every 4–6 months to keep them.

What happens during HTIC collagen treatment?

Your doctor first cleans the treatment area and applies a topical numbing cream to keep you comfortable. The HTIC collagen is then injected into the superficial to mid-dermal layer, with fine needles or a microinjection technique, at injection points planned for the area being treated.

Is there downtime after HTIC collagen injections?

Downtime is minimal. You may notice mild redness or swelling, which usually subsides within a day, and most patients return to normal daily activities immediately. Avoid intense sun exposure, strenuous exercise and cosmetic treatments on the treated area for at least 24–48 hours.

How is HTIC collagen different from dermal fillers or collagen gel?

Volumising dermal fillers add volume where they are placed, whereas HTIC collagen injections support skin quality: the Type I collagen stimulates fibroblasts to make new collagen over a course of sessions. Our injectable collagen gel is a different purified-collagen product, used for skin texture and tone and to add volume to sunken tear troughs. Your doctor will advise which suits you.

Can HTIC collagen be combined with other treatments?

Yes. HTIC collagen can be combined with other aesthetic procedures such as lasers, dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, depending on your skin type and treatment plan. Our doctors will recommend a suitable combination during your consultation.

Who should avoid HTIC collagen injections?

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection in the area, have an autoimmune or connective-tissue condition, or have reacted to collagen or other injectables before. These can affect suitability, so your doctor takes a full medical history before HTIC collagen treatment.
