Tumour markers are clues, not a diagnosis.
A normal result doesn't rule cancer out, and a raised one often has another cause. Your doctor explains what yours mean.
Fusion Executive: frequently asked questions
Who is Fusion Executive for?
Fusion Executive is recommended for adults aged 30 and above. It covers blood, urine and stool tests without a consultation or fasting, which suits a busy schedule. Your doctor can suggest a different package if your age, symptoms or family history call for other tests.
How much does Fusion Executive cost?
Fusion Executive costs S$390, inclusive of GST. Optional additions are charged separately, such as a 2D mammogram at S$207.10, a treadmill ECG at S$218 and a ThinPrep Pap test at S$54.50.
Do I need to fast before the screening?
No. This package uses tests that do not need fasting, so you can eat and drink as usual. Bring a list of your medicines, and tell us beforehand if you are unwell on the day.
Are tumour markers a test for cancer?
Not on their own. A normal tumour marker does not rule out cancer, and a raised one often has another cause, so results are always interpreted with your doctor. Recommended cancer screening depends on your age and sex, for example a mammogram, cervical screening or colorectal screening, and your doctor can advise which apply to you.
What happens after the screening?
You receive a bilingual medical report. If any result is abnormal, a doctor goes through it with you by teleconsultation and advises on follow-up, such as a repeat test or a clinic visit.
Can I add tests to the package?
Yes. Your doctor can add tests that suit your age, symptoms or family history, such as a 2D mammogram at S$207.10, a treadmill ECG at S$218 and a ThinPrep Pap test at S$54.50. The fee for any addition is confirmed before it is done.
