Fusion Silver: frequently asked questions

Who is Fusion Silver for?

Fusion Silver is recommended for adults in their 20s and 30s. It includes a doctor's consultation and examination, 12 laboratory profiles. Your doctor can suggest a different package if your age, symptoms or family history call for other tests.

How much does Fusion Silver cost?

Fusion Silver costs S$290, inclusive of GST. Optional additions are charged separately, such as a 2D mammogram at S$207.10, a treadmill ECG at S$218 and a ThinPrep Pap test at S$54.50.

Do I need to fast before the screening?

Yes. Fast for at least 8 hours before your blood tests, drinking plain water only, unless your doctor advises otherwise. If you take medicines for diabetes, check with us before you fast.

Are tumour markers a test for cancer?

Not on their own. A normal tumour marker does not rule out cancer, and a raised one often has another cause, so results are always interpreted with your doctor. Recommended cancer screening depends on your age and sex, for example a mammogram, cervical screening or colorectal screening, and your doctor can advise which apply to you.

What happens after the screening?

A doctor goes through your results with you, explains which are within the normal range and which need a repeat test or follow-up, and gives you a medical report. If anything needs further tests or a specialist, your doctor arranges it.

Can I add tests to the package?

Yes. Your doctor can add tests that suit your age, symptoms or family history, such as a 2D mammogram at S$207.10, a treadmill ECG at S$218 and a ThinPrep Pap test at S$54.50. The fee for any addition is confirmed before it is done.
