Personal medical report
A doctor goes through your current and past health, family history, medicines and lifestyle, then examines you, including your height, weight and blood pressure.
Insurance check-ups · Singapore
Your insurer decides what is needed. Our doctors complete the questionnaire, examination and requested tests at Wheelock Place, and the report goes to your insurer through the authorised route.
Your insurer sets the scope. We do the medical work, discreetly.
An insurance medical check-up is the examination an insurer asks for before deciding on a policy application. Depending on the request, it can range from a medical questionnaire and physical examination to blood and urine tests, an ECG, imaging or specialist reports. Our doctors perform and document the medical work; the insurer makes the underwriting decision.
We are on the insurance medical panels of AIA, Great Eastern, Manulife, Prudential, China Taiping, Transamerica, Swiss Life and Sun Life. Resting ECG, treadmill, X-ray, ultrasound and mammogram are all on site at Wheelock Place, with private rooms. Bankers, brokers, insurance agents and financial advisers can refer their clients to our female doctors.
What it can include
The scope depends on the policy type, your age, the sum assured and your disclosed history. Some applicants need only basic measurements and a doctor's report; others need extended blood tests, an ECG, imaging or specialist information. We review your insurer's actual request before confirming the time needed or the cost.

Blood and urine tests
Urine tests and the blood profiles your insurer specifies. Some need fasting or a timed collection, so we confirm the preparation with you beforehand.

Resting ECG and treadmill test
A resting ECG or a treadmill exercise test, when your insurer requests one, done at the clinic. A stress echocardiogram is subject to availability.

Imaging and further evidence
An X-ray, ultrasound or mammogram, specialist reports or repeat tests, when underwriting needs clarification.

We carry out the laboratory, heart or imaging tests your insurer requested.
The completed medical evidence goes to your insurer through the authorised route. The insurer then makes its decision.

Unexpected findings are followed up as health concerns, separately from your application. Your insurer may ask for more information after receiving the report; the timing and outcome of underwriting rest with the insurer.

Only if the requested blood tests require it. Confirm the preparation with us rather than assuming, and follow any fasting instructions exactly. Do not fast or stop a medicine unless we or your prescribing doctor tell you to.

No. We report the medical findings, and the insurer makes all underwriting and policy decisions, including premiums, exclusions and postponements. We cannot predict or influence the outcome, and your insurer may ask for more information after receiving the report.
It is released through the authorised route your insurer specifies, after we have checked your identity, your consent and that the report is complete. We may contact you if a sample, form or result needs clarification.
